Brayton Primary School is on track to transfer to academy status on 1st November. We will be part of the Star Multi Academy Trust.

Special Measures

Ofsted visited our school in October 2018. They judged that the school requires Special Measures. We have been issued with an Academy Order and although this is in place, we have not yet become an Academy and have no way of telling how long this will take to happen. We will endeavour to keep everyone informed.

However, for us at Brayton, it is business as usual. We are making great strides every day in every aspect of school improvement. We have the support of realistic and accommodating Parents and Carers, loyal and dedicated Governors and exceptionally talented and hardworking staff.

In addition to this we have children who are willing to work hard and (for the most part!) can see the need to comply and co-operate with the new structures and procedures being put in place for their progress.

Everyone is working to grow and improve our lovely school. We may be in Special Measures, but we are a Church School and therefore take our inspiration from Corinthians 4:8:

"We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair."

Morale is good, change is inspiring and our school keeps getting more exciting every day.
